How Does Birth Control Work

Every species on this earth have a common motive. These motives can be listed as to live, to survive, to reproduce and then at the end death. Reproduction is one of the most important procedures done by a species in its whole life cycle. It is the process through which a species is able to retain its existence on the earth. Every species do the process of reproduction during mating season. Unlike other species human being has no mating season. Human beings are sexually active in all the months of the year. The main motive for all other species for having sex is to produce a young one but human being take sex as an act of pleasure. Because of this only they are facing the problem of rise in population. To avoid this problem and also to continue the act of sex in the lives of the human beings, birth control devices and pills are introduced. Some of the birth control methods are natural so some are artificial. Now the question arises that how does birth control work? Getting the answer to this question is not a difficult task. People can quite easily gather the knowledge about the birth control methods through proper sources.

The natural birth control methods are less effective than the artificial ones. One of the best examples of natural birth control method is the calendar method. This method is used by many people who don't want to get engage in the artificial methods of birth control. According to calendar method of birth control, people must have sex during the safe days. The safe days can be calculated by the date of menstruation in the female partner. Hence, by having sex during safe days, pregnancy can be controlled. This way through natural method of birth control we can answer the question of how does birth control work.

The artificial methods of birth control are using condoms, birth control pills etc. these methods are temporary ones. There are also some of the permanent birth control methods. The permanent methods of birth control are vasectomy, tubectomy etc. Artificial methods are safer than the natural ones. The condoms do not allow the ejaculated sperm to enter the vagina of the female, hence it avoids pregnancy. Oral contraceptive pills or birth control pills have hormones that suppress ovulation. Without ovulation no egg is produced from the ovaries hence, fertilization cannot occur and it avoids pregnancy. This way through artificial methods of birth control the question of how does birth control work can be answered.
